On August 17, the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held a meeting to study the deployment of flood control, flood relief and post-disaster recovery and reconstruction work.  The meeting pointed out that we should pay close attention to repairing damaged farmland and agricultural facilities, strengthen the supply of agricultural materials, strengthen the guidance of farmers' agricultural technology, organize farmers to actively make up for the recovery, do a good job in agricultural disaster prevention and reduction, minimize agricultural losses, and ensure national food security.

In response to a new round of heavy rainfall, continue to do a good job of agricultural flood prevention and flood relief, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural areas issued a notice on August 19, requiring agricultural and rural departments at all levels to strengthen monitoring and early warning, early implementation of defensive measures, pay close attention to post-disaster production recovery, to minimize disaster losses;

On August 19, the Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Emergency Management, allocated another 1 billion yuan of central natural disaster relief funds, focusing on supporting the relief work of people affected by floods.

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) has decided to increase the re-lending quota for farmers and small businesses in Beijing, Hebei, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Fujian and Chongqing by 35 billion yuan to support financial services for disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction.

In recent days, one working group, one batch of technicians, one service team rushed to the disaster area, go all out to fight disaster and reduce disaster, and speed up the resumption of agricultural production. In the fields of Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province, large mobile pump trucks pumped water nearby, and emergency rescue assault teams were on duty day and night, draining 3,000 cubic meters of farmland water every hour.
